Relationship Issues and Interpersonal Conflicts

Close relationships can be the site of our most persistent difficulties—the ones that make intellectual sense but don't seem to shift. This work pays close attention to how those patterns operate and what keeps them in place.

Anxiety and Mood Variability

Anxiety and mood swings are often signals—signs of something that hasn't had a chance to be named. Rather than focusing primarily on symptom management, this work tries to understand what's driving the fluctuation and why it's hard to move out of.

Eating Disorders, Body Image & Self-Destructive Tendencies

Eating and body image difficulties rarely exist in isolation. They often connect to questions of self-worth and control, and to what happens when strong emotions have nowhere else to go. Self-defeating patterns — whether expressed through food, the body, or behavior — tend to be deeply entrenched, rooted in early experiences and unconscious beliefs. This work takes those connections seriously rather than treating food or any single behavior as the primary problem.

Low or Variable Self-Esteem; Shame; Emptiness

Fluctuating self-worth and feelings of emptiness often have deep roots—shaped by early relationships and experiences that continue to exert their influence outside of awareness. This work explores what drives those patterns rather than trying to override them.

A more stable sense of self tends to develop not from affirmation or reassurance, but from genuine self-understanding—seeing clearly what has been operating beneath the surface.

Borderline Personality Disorder & Transference Focused Psychotherapy

People who meet criteria for BPD often describe persistent instability in relationships, mood, and sense of self. As a certified practitioner of Transference Focused Psychotherapy (TFP), I offer specialized, evidence-based treatment designed specifically for this kind of difficulty.

TFP examines how you experience yourself and others in moments of emotional intensity, using the relationship between us as a window into these dynamics. This active, engaging work helps develop more stable relationships, integrated self-esteem, and greater capacity for emotional regulation.

Virtual Therapy

I offer virtual therapy sessions for individuals located in New York, Massachusetts, and Wyoming. Virtual sessions can offer a meaningful way to engage in this work, with the added flexibility of meeting from your own space.
